Prison Break Season 1 (2006)
season 1 of Prison Break contains a total of 22 episodes which were originally broadcast in the United States from August 29, 2005 to May 15, 2006. The plot revolves around the plan of Michael Scofield to break his brother, Lincoln Burrows, out of prison. It covers approximately six weeks of the characters' lives (from April 11th to May 27th) - the entire length of Michael's stay at Fox River State Penitentiary. An average of 9.2 million viewers was recorded for the season.
Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is accused of the murder of Terrence Steadman, who is the brother of the female Vice President of the United States. With strong evidence supporting the charges of first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm against him, Lincoln is sentenced to death and is sent to Fox River State Penitentiary to await his execution. Lincoln's brother, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), is convinced of Lincoln's innocence and hatches an escape plan. After installing himself at Fox River, time works against Michael as he must overcome various obstacles and make the right connections among the inmates and prison staff to be successful in breaking out his brother.The Brothers are aided by Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney), who begins to investigate the conspiracy that put Lincoln in jail. However, they are hindered by covert agents, who belong to an organization known as 'The Company'. As the season goes on Michael is successful in recruiting other inmates into his escape plan. When the season comes to and end The Brothers and the other inmates break out of Fox River.
The fifth season of Prison Break (also known as Prison Break: Resurrection) is a limited event television series and the continuation of the original series created by Paul Scheuring that aired on Fox from 2005 to 2009. The season is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Adelstein/Parouse Productions and Original Film. Paul Scheuring serves as showrunner, with himself, Marty Adelstein, Neal H. Moritz and Dawn Olmstead, Vaun Wilmott, Michael Horowitz and Nelson McCormick serving as executive producers. McCormick also serves as director. The season premiered on April 4, 2017, and airs on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm. The first trailer of the series was released on May 16, 2016.

Wentworth Miller stars as Michael Scofield and Dominic Purcell as Lincoln Burrows, while Amaury Nolasco, Paul Adelstein, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Sarah Wayne Callies also return from the original series. New cast additions include Mark Feuerstein, Inbar Lavi, Augustus Prew, Marina Benedict, Rick Yune and Steve Mouzakis. A pilot was ordered in August 2015 and the series was greenlit in January 2016. Production on the series began in April 2016 and filming took place in Vancouver and the Moroccan cities of Rabat, Casablanca, and Ouarzazate.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the limited series “…picks up after Michael’s apparent death […] When clues surface suggesting that Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever, as three of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees—T-Bag, C-Note and Sucre—are pulled back into the action.”
